Sophia Olsonowski was born on October 24, 1996. She trained at World Class Gymnastics in Virginia through the 2009 season. She then moved to Colorado Aerials. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2006, Sophia competed level five. She won bars at the Sand Dollar Invitational. She finished second all-around at the State Championships. She won floor. She competed level seven in 2007. She won bars and the all-around at the Shamrock Invitational. She won vault and the all-around at the Mother May I Invite. At the State Championships, Sophia finished eleventh all-around. She continued competing level seven in 2008. She finished second all-around at the AOGC Invitational. She won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships.

Sophia competed level eight in 2009. She won bars at both the New Year Opener and Parkette Invitational. She finished fifth on bars at the Palm Beach Invitational. Sophia finished third on bars and fourth on floor at the State Championships. She competed level nine in 2010. She placed third on floor at the Denver Winterfest. She finished fourth all-around at the AOGC Invitational. She finished third on floor at the Northern Lights Invitational. She placed third on beam and fifth all-around at the State Championships. She finished tenth all-around at Regionals.
