Melanie Oster was born on December 28, 1995. She trained at Scamps Gymnastics. She moved to M&M in the fall of 2011. She will graduate from high school in 2014.
In 2008, Melanie competed level eight. She competed at Regionals. She moved up to level nine in 2009. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Midwest Challenge. She finished first on bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the California Classic. At the Harley Davidson meet, she finished first on beam, floor and the all-around. At the OGC Optional Invitational, she finished first on beam. Melanie won beam and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed first on beam and third all-around. Melanie placed fifth on bars at Westerns. She finished seventh all-around.
She began competing level ten in 2010. She finished third all-around at the Salto Invitational. At the OGC Optional Invitational, she won bars and placed third all-around. Melanie competed at Regionals. In 2011, she won bars and the all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. She placed second all-around at the Scamps Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed first on bars and fourth all-around. She finished sixth all-around at Regionals. Melanie competed at JO Nationals.
