Erica Oswalt was born on October 28, 1992. She trained at Brown's Las Vegas until the summer of 2003. She then moved to Gymcats. Erica will graduate from high school in 2011.
In 2003, Erica competed level eight. She qualified for Regionals. She continued competing level eight in 2004. She placed sixth all-around at the State Championships. She finished in the top twenty at Regionals. In 2005, Erica competed level nine. She placed fifth all-around at the State Championships. She ended her season at Regionals. Erica continued competing level nine in 2006. She placed second all-around at the AOGC Invitational. She won the all-around at the Cactus Cooler Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed fifth all-around. She placed 15th at Regionals. Erica ended her season at Westerns, placing seventh on beam and third on floor. She finished sixth all-around.
Erica began competing level ten in 2008. She finished third all-around at the San Diego Classic. She won a bronze medal on bars at the National Gymnastics Challenge. At the State Championships, she placed second all-around. She finished second on beam as well. At Regionals, she placed fourth all-around and second on floor. Erica ended her season at JO Nationals, finishing 22nd all-around. In 2009, Erica finished second all-around at the Cactus Cooler meet. At the State Championships, she placed third on vault. Erica won vault and placed fourth all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she placed sixth on vault.
She had a strong 2010 season. At the Lady Luck Invitational, she placed third all-around and first on vault. Erica won the San Diego Classic. She won vault, floor and the all-around at the Cactus Cooler Invitational. At the Purple and Gold, she won beam, floor and the all-around. Erica placed second all-around at the State Championships. She won bars and beam. At Regionals, she placed second on vault and bars and third all-around. She ended her season at JO Nationals, placing third on vault, eighth on floor and fifth all-around.
