Stephanie Ouellette was born on April 13, 1992. She trains at Docksiders Gymnastics in Maryland with her dad as her coach. In 2002, Stephanie began competed as a level eight. She placed fifth all-around at States. From States, she had a solid competition at Regionals. She moved up to level nine for the 2003 season. She managed to improve her all-around score almost two points at States. Stephanie continued to improve at the regional championships.
Her first year as a level ten was in 2004. She went from scoring 33s at invitationals to a 35 at States. This qualified her for Regionals, where she ended her season. Stephanie had a much more successful season in 2005. She won bars at the Parkette Invite and finished second on beam at the Winter Sun Invitational. Stephanie had the meet of her life at State Championships, score a whopping 37! She won the all-around title as well as the floor title. At Regionals, she qualified to her first JO National Championships. Stephanie put up a respectable finish for her first time.
She began her 2006 season in late 2005, by wining vault and bars at the Commonwealth Cup. At the Sweetheart Invite, she won bars. Stephanie won the all-around title at the American Brestyan's Invitational and Vegas Cup. She also defended her all-around state title from 2005. At Regionals, Stephanie placed third all-around. She was also third on bars and second on beam. At JO Nationals, she placed sixth all-around! Stephanie also placed on bars and beam. Shortly after the level ten season, she received her junior international elite score, but choose to compete as a junior pre-elite. She finished off 2006 by competing at the US Challenge.
Stephanie broke her foot in December 2006. She only competed all-around at three meets in 2007. She won her third Maryland state all-around title! She qualified to JO Nationals for the third time. She elected to do her elite routines to prepare for the May Elite National Qualifier. Because of the number of skills, she was hammered on execution deductions. She fell only on her double turn on balance beam. After making international elite for the second time, she decided to compete level ten. In 2008, Stephanie won Regionals. At JO Nationals, she placed fourth on floor and 13th all-around. She also qualified for the Region 7 All-Star Team. In November the team traveled to Puerto Rico. Stephanie finished second all-around and won bars at the meet. She has committed to North Carolina State University. She will begin her college career in August of 2010.
In 2009, Stephanie finished second on floor at the Sweetheart Invitational. She only competed on beam and floor. She won a bronze medal on beam at the Malibu Coast Challenge. She placed sixth all-around. She only competed uneven bars at States. In 2010, Stephanie finished first on bars, floor and the all-around at the Brestyan's Invitational. She placed second all-around at the Classic Rock Invitational. At the State Championships, she won bars, beam and the all-around. Stephanie finished second all-around at Regionals. She did not compete at JO Nationals.
