Kensleigh Owens was born on January 13, 1997. She trained at the Gym Company through the 2007 season. She then spent two years with Everest Gymnastics before moving to Southeastern Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2003, she competed level four. She finished third on floor at the State Championships. Kensleigh moved up to level five in 2004. She finished fifth all-around at the State Championships. In 2005, Kensleigh finished third all-around at the Level 6 State Championships. She competed level seven in 2007. She placed third on bars at the Carolina Classic. She finished fourth on beam at the State Championships.

Kensleigh continued competing level seven in 2008. She finished sixth all-around at the State Championships. Kensleigh moved up to level eight in 2009. She finished third all-around at the Judges Cup. She placed in the top ten at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished third on floor and fifth all-around. Kensleigh competed level nine in 2010. She won floor at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational. At the State Championships, she won beam and the all-around. Kensleigh placed third on bars and second on floor at Regionals. At Easterns, she finished third on floor and tenth all-around. In 2011, Kensleigh placed second on beam at the Metroplex Challenge. She won vault and the all-around at the Sweetheart Invite. She placed first on beam and third all-around at the Charleston Cup. Kensleigh placed in the top ten at the State Championships. She finished fifth all-around at Regionals. At Easterns, she placed sixth on vault, sixth on bars, third on beam, fourth on floor and first all-around!
