Lucy Palma was born on December 7, 1996. She trained at Fairfax Gymnastics until the 2006 season. She then switched to Capital Gymnastics in Virginia. Lucy will graduate from high school in 2015.
In 2005, she competed as a level five. She finished third on floor at States. At the Parkette Invitational, she placed fifth all-around. She finished third on vault and second on bars. She moved up to level six in 2006. She competed at States. In 2007, Lucy competed as a level seven. She finished second on floor at the Capital Cup. At States, Lucy won the all-around title! She also won vault and bars. She finished third on beam and floor.
Lucy moved up to level eight for the 2008 season. She finished first all-around at States. She finished second on vault, bars and beam. At Regionals, Lucy won the all-around title! She also won a silver medal on vault and a bronze medal on floor. She qualified to hopes pre-elite. She competed at the US Challenge in Houston, Texas. In the late fall, she finished second all-around as a level nine at the Black Eyed Susan Invitational. She finished third all-around at the Christmas on the Chesapeake meet.
She moved up to level ten in 2009. She finished fifth all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational. She had a wrist injury that kept her out most of the season. She came back for the State Championships. She finished second all-around. In 2010, Lucy continued competing level ten. She finished fifth all-around at the Excalibur Cup.
