Desiree M Palomares was born on May 17, 1995. Her mom's name is Angela. Desiree trained at Precision Gymnastics until the 2006 season. Desiree then began competing for All Olympia Gymnastics Center. She moved to Gym-Max in the summer of 2008. She moved to Charter Oak Gliders during the 2009 season.

In 2004, she competed as a level six. She competed at the State Championships. Desiree moved up to level seven for the 2005 spring season. She finished second all-around at the San Diego Classic and Friendship Challenge. At States, she finished fourth on bars! Desiree participated in the National TOP Testing in the fall.

She moved up to level eight in 2006. Desiree won the AOGC Invitational and Golden State Friendship Challenge. At States, she won a bronze medal on floor. Desiree finished second all-around at Regionals! She placed second on bars and third on floor. Desiree made the National TOPs Team in the fall! In 2007, she competed as a level nine. She won floor at the WOGA Classic and the all-around title at the AOGC Invitational! At States, she finished second all-around and first on floor. In the summer, Desiree competed at the US Challenge as a hopes elite. She finished second overall!

Desiree began her 2008 season as a level 10 at the WOGA Classic. There, she finished seventh in the all-around and fourth on floor exercise. She then placed eighth in the all-around at the AOGC Invitational. At the Level 10 SoCal State Championships, she finished seventh in the all-around. During the summer, she moved to Gym-Max to train under coaches Howie and Jenny Liang. That same year in December, Desiree successfully passed the compulsory elite testing after placing sixth in the all-around and second on uneven bars.

In February 2009, Desiree successfully passed junior international after placing eighth in the all-around at the Metroplex Challenge. In March, Desiree moved to Charter Oak Gymnastics to train under coaches Beth Kline-Rybacki and Stephen Rybacki Jr. She finished fifth all-around at the Long Beach Open and Level 10 State Championships. At Regionals, she finished fourth all-around. She won a silver medal on beam. She ended her level ten season at JO Nationals. In 2010, Desiree finished third all-around at the San Diego Classic and second all-around at the Gliders Invitational. She won bars and floor at the State Championships. She finished second all-around. At Regionals, Desire won bars and the all-around! She placed sixth on bars, first on beam, eighth on floor and in the all-around at JO Nationals. In 2011, she competed on three events at the Metroplex Challenge.
