Bailey Philbin was born on January 25, 1994. She has a younger brother, J.C. who plays football, basketball, baseball and lacrosse. Bailey trains at Hill’s Gymnastics in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

In 2004, she competed as a level six. At the Level Six State Championships she placed third all-around, third on beam and bars. In 2005, she competed as a level seven. Competing in the Christmas in Annapolis Meet she placed first all- around, first on vault, second on bars, beam and floor. She finished second all-around in the Maryland Classic as well as the Parkette Invitational. At the East Coast Classic she placed third all-around. At the Columbia Classic she won first all-around, also first on vault and bars. She ended her level 7 season competing at States, placing fourth all-around, third on vault and fourth on bars.

Bailey jumped from level seven to level nine in 2006 where she qualified for States. In 2007, her second year level nine, she placed second all-around in the Yurchenco Classic, Maryland Classic, ninth all-around, fourth on beam. At the Buckeye Classic she placed third all-around, second beam and floor, fourth on bars. At the Ocean State Classic, second all-around, first on beam, second floor and bars, third on vault. At the level 9 State Meet she placed third all-around, floor state champion, fourth bars and seventh vault. At Regionals, she placed fourteenth all-around, fifth on beam, sixth place on floor, eighth on vault and qualifying to the Level Nine Eastern Championships. She ended her season with a twenty-fourth place all-around, fifth on beam and seventeenth on floor.

She moved up to Level Ten in 2008 competing at the Level Ten State Championships, qualifying for the level ten Regional meet placing ninth on floor. In 2009, as a second year level ten, she placed tenth all-around at the Maryland Classic, third on bars and sixth on vault. At the Byers Invitational she placed second all-around, first on bars, fourth on floor and beam, fifth on vault. At the State Meet she placed seventh all-around, third on beam, sixth on bars, eighth on vault and ninth on floor. She finished sixth all-around, fifth on beam, seventh on floor, ninth on beam, eleventh on vault at Regionals. Bailey made the Region Seven National Team! She ended her season at the JO Nationals.

Bailey had a successful 2009-2010 Level Ten season. The first meet of the season, the Christmas on the Chesapeake, she placed fourth all-around, second on bars and fifth on vault. At the 2010 Maryland Classic she placed sixth all-around, third on vault and floor. She next competed at the Parkette Invitational where she won the all-around, first on bars, second on floor and beam and sixth on vault. At the AOGC Invitational she placed third on bars and sixth on floor. Bailey placed first on bars, second on vault, fourth on floor and third all-around at the Tim Rand Invitational. At the Maryland State Meet, she placed third on vault, fifth on bars and floor, eight on beam and fifth all-around, qualifying to the 2010 Regionals. At Regionals she placed second on bars, seventh on vault, ninth on floor and third all-around making Region 7 JO Nationals Team for the second consecutive year! Unfortunately, she decided not to compete because of an ankle injury.
