Alexa Phillip was born on January 28, 1996. She trained at Paragon Gymnastics in New Jersey as a compulsory. She then moved to Galaxy Gymnastics in New York. Alexa will graduate from high school in 2014.

In 2004, Alexa competed level four. She finished 11th all-around at the State Championships. She steadily moved through the levels to level seven in 2007. She won vault, bars and the all-around at the Cirque De Galaxy. She won vault and bars at the Heartland Classic. Alexa won vault, bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. She competed level eight in 2008. She won bars at the Little Bigger Invitational. Alexa won vault, bars, and floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won vault, bars and the all-around.

Alexa competed level nine in 2009. She won vault at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. Alexa finished first on beam, floor and the all-around at the Team Challenge. She finished second on bars, beam and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won all five gold medals! Alexa finished second on floor and ninth all-around at Easterns. She began competing level ten in 2010. She finished third on bars at Regionals. She finished 29th all-around at JO Nationals.
