Jenna Pinheiro was born on October 29, 1999. She trained at Action Gymnastics until 2009. She briefly trained at Aim High in the spring of 2008. Jenna moved to Orlando Metro Gymnastics for the 2010 season. She began training at Brandy Johnson's in the spring of 2011. Jenna moved to Ace Gymnastics in the fall.

In 2008, she competed level five. Jenna placed first on floor and the all-around at the Starlight Invitational. She finished second on vault at the Parkette Invitational. At the Rhode Island State Championships, she won all five gold medals. Jenna finished first on a five events at the Black-Eyed Susan meet. She won beam and the all-around at the New Jersey State Championships. Jenna finished first on vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Christmas City Classic as a level six. She was also a member of the National TOPs Team.

Jenna won vault, floor and the all-around at the 2009 Level 6 State Championships. She then moved up to level seven. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. At the IGI Chicago Style, she placed third on vault. Jenna competed level eight in 2010. She won vault, beam and the all-around at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational. She finished first on beam, floor and the all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. She placed second all-around at the Daytona Beach Open. At the IGI Chicago Style, she won bars. Jenna moved up to level nine in 2011. She finished first on vault, beam and the all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. She finished eighth all-around at the State Championships. Jenna placed fourth on vault, her only event, at Regionals.
