Jennifer Marie Pizano was born in Palo Alto, California, on May 28, 1987. She is the daughter of Laura and Chuck Pizano. She has a younger brother, Matthew. Jennifer graduated from Waterford High School in 2005.
Jennifer began gymnastics at USA Elite under the direction of Jim Trost. She attended several USAIGC competitions including the national championships. Jennifer then switched to Stanislaus Gymnastics Center to train with Sheldon and Cara Gibson in 2001. She moved to Champion Gymnastics in 2002 but returned to Stanislaus for the 2003 season. After Stanislaus closed in June of 2003, Jennifer moved to Gymstars Stockton where she finished her club career.
In 2001, Jennifer competed level nine. She qualified to Regionals. She qualified to Westerns in 2002. Jennifer placed in the top ten on uneven bars. In 2003, she finished fourth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, Jennifer finished fourth on vault. She qualified to her second Western Championships. In 2004, Jennifer finished second all-around at States. She won vault. At Regionals, she finished first on floor and third on bars. She also won the all-around title! At Westerns, she finished in the top twenty all-around. Jennifer moved up to level ten in 2005. Unfortunately, an elbow injury kept her out of the state championships. She petitioned to Regionals.
At San Jose State, Jennifer competed on bars her freshman season. She was pulled out of the lineup because of inconsistency. She returned her sophomore season as a main stay in the uneven bars lineup. She also competed beam a few times. She retired during her junior year.
