Lauren Pocius was born on February 25, 1993. She trained at American Gymnastics through the 2006 season. She then moved to Connecticut Gymnastics Academy. She graduated from high school in 2011.
In 2004, Lauren competed level five. She won beam and the all-around at the State Championships. She competed level six in 2005 and level seven in 2006. In 2007, Lauren finished first on beam and the all-around at the Brestyan Invitational. She won vault at the State Championships. She finished fourth all-around. Lauren moved up to level eight in 2008. She finished first on bars and second all-around at the IGI Chicago Style. She placed second on vault, bars and the all-around at Regionals. Lauren moved up to level nine in 2009. She finished first on bars at the IGI Chicago Style. She won bars and beam at the Starlight Invitational. At Regionals, she placed first on bars and fourth all-around. Lauren placed first on vault, fourth on bars, sixth on beam, fourth on floor and first all-around at Easterns!
Lauren began competing level ten in 2010. She finished in the top ten at the Brestyan Invitational. She finished third all-around at the Rutgers Twilight Knight Invite. In 2011, Lauren finished third all-around at the State Championships. She placed fourth all-around at Regionals. She finished second on bars. Lauren competed at JO Nationals.
