Samantha Podlucky was born on January 11, 1996. Her sister, Madison, is also a gymnast. Samantha trained at Leading Edge Gymnastics Academy in Washington through the 2009 season. She then moved to Auburn Gymnastics Center. Samantha will graduate from high school in 2014.
In 2005, Samantha competed level five. She finished second on vault and beam at the State Championships. She continued competing level five in 2006. She finished second on vault at the Flips USA Invitational. She won vault and placed third all-around at the Hard Rock Invitational. She finished first on vault and third all-around at the Spring State Championships. She competed level six in 2007. She finished third at the Gym Express Invite. Samantha won vault at the Seattle Open.
Samantha competed level seven in 2008. She won vault, floor and the all-around at the National Judges Cup. She placed first on vault, beam and the all-around at the Seattle Open. She won vault at the Battle in Seattle. Samantha finished firs ton vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Emerald Team Challenge. She won the all-around at the State Championships. She competed level eight in 2009. She won vault and placed third at the State Championships. She won vault and placed sixth all-around at Regionals.
She moved up to level nine in 2010. She finished first on vault at the Long Beach Open. She placed third all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, Samantha finished fourth all-around and second on vault. She placed fifth on bars at Westerns. She finished 16th all-around.
