Alana Polsfuss was born on March 26, 1996. She trains at Twin City Twisters. Alana will graduate from high school in 2014.

In 2008, Alana competed level seven. She finished first on bars, floor and the all-around at the Winter Carnival Invitational. She placed second all-around at the Gopher Women's Invitational. She moved up to level eight in 2009. Alana finished third all-around at the Northern Lights Invitational. At the IGI Chicago Style, she won beam and the all-around. Alana won the uneven bars title at the State Championships.

Alana competed level nine in 2010. She finished fourth all-around at the Long Beach Open. She placed third all-around at the Northern Lights Invitational. At the State Championships, she finished second on bars and seventh all-around. Alana placed third all-around at Regionals. At Westerns, she placed fifth on floor. She finished seventh all-around. Alana opened the 2010-2011 season at the Peppermint Twist. She finished second all-around.
