Morgan Porter was born on April 25, 1997. She trains at Team Central in Missouri. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2006, Morgan competed level five. She won bars and placed third all-around at the State Championships. She moved up to level six in 2007. She finished first on beam at the IGI Chicago Style. She won bars at the State Championships. Morgan competed level eight in 2008. She finished second all-around at the IGI Chicago Style. At the State Championships, she placed first on floor and second all-around.

Morgan began competing level nine in 2009. She won vault at the Meet Me in St. Louis meet. In 2010, she finished first on beam at the Crossroads Classic. She won bars and floor at the Sand Dollar Invitational. At the Gateway Challenge, she won vault. Morgan won bars at the IGI Chicago Style. She won vault and the all-around at the St. Louis Classic. Morgan finished first on vault and second all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won bars and the all-around. Morgan finished second on vault at Westerns.
