Brittany Potvin-Green was born on May 6, 1991. Her father, Gary Green, played for the Kansas City Chiefs. Brittany trained at Aerial Athletics in San Antonio, Texas, under Heather Schnelzer and Ryan Sneider during her club career. Brittany graduated from high school in 2009.
In 2009, Brittany competed level nine. She finished first on vault at the Sand Dollar Invitational. She placed third all-around at the Metroplex Challenge. At the Alamo Classic, she won vault, floor and the all-around. Brittany placed third on bars at the Rose City Classic. At Regionals, she won floor. She placed second on bars and fourth all-around. Brittany competed at JO Nationals.
As a freshman at Boise State in 2010, Brittany competed on vault in all eleven meets of the season. She competed on floor five times. She finished third on vault at San Jose State. Brittany was a WAC All-Academic team member.
