On August 2, 1989, Kassandra Rose Price was born in Plantation, Florida. She has a sibling, Karlee, who is also a gymnast. She began gymnastics at the age of four with Tag Gymnastics. Kassi later switched to American Twisters. In 2003, Kassi began training at Orlando Metro Gymnastics. She trained there until the end of her club career.

In 1999, Kassi competed as a level ten. She won the bars, floor and all-around titles at Regionals! She moved on to JO Nationals. Kassi won floor. She finished second on bars and fifth all-around. She repeated level ten in 20000. At the Magic Classic, Kassi won the all-around, bars and floor titles. At Regionals, she won gold medals on everything except beam, which she finished second on. At JO Nationals, Kassi won four events, losing only the gold on vault. She became the youngest person to ever make the JO National Team.

At the age of eleven, Kassi qualified to junior international elite. She started her season in Las Vegas at the Lady Luck Invite. She finished fourth all-around! Her next meet qualified her for junior international elite. At the US Classic, Kassi finished fourth on vault. More importantly, she qualified for the US National Championships. At Nationals, she took the last spot on the National Team! Kassi was scheduled to go to the Canberra Cup, but broke her leg right before.

Her 2002 season went well. At the National Podium Meet, Kassi finished seventh all-around. She traveled to Canada for the Spring Cup. Kassi took second all-around and second on vault. With teammate Sarah Curtis, she won the all-around title! Her next meet was the American Classic. She finished third all-around and second on vault! Kassi was picked for the USA vs. Belgium Meet. She won vault and finished fourth in the all-around. Kassi then traveled to Puerto Rico for the Copa Puerto Rico Cup. She won the all-around title! Kassi also finished with two silvers on beam and floor. She ended her season by making her second US National Team.

Her third season as a junior international elite was in 2003. She started out by winning all the gold medals at the Sand Dollar Invite except vault, where she placed second. Kassi also had a good meet at the Twisters Invite. She won everything except for bars, which she won the silver on. Kassi then went to Texas for the USA vs. Japan. She won vault and finished second all-around. Kassi was also second on beam. At the Podium Meet, she placed seventh all-around. At the American Classic, Kassi placed fourth all-around. She placed third on vault and bars. Her final meet of the season was the US National Championships. She finished in the top ten, qualifying for the US National Team.

Kassi made the decision to switch to Orlando Metro Gymnastics following the season. This would be her final year as a junior international elite. She started out the season by winning the all-around and vault titles at the USA vs. Japan. Kassi then won the all-around, vault and floor titles at the Sand Dollar Invitational. Her next meet was the Battle of the Champions. She won the all-around, vault, bars and beam titles! She competed in Chicago at the IGI Chicago Style. She finished first all-around, on vault and on floor! She won silvers on bars and beam. The American Classic was held in California. She placed third all-around! She took home the silver on vault and the bronze on floor.

After a few months off from competitions, she competed at the US Classic. Kassi finished fourth all-around! She then went on to place fifth at the US National Championships. She was selected for the Olympiada Elite. She won bars and finished third all-around! Kassi then went to the ranch for the USA v. Canada. Based on this performance, she went to the Junior Pan Am Games. Kassi won the all-around and vault titles! In December, she went to Japan for the Chuinchi Cup. Kassi had a great performance in her first big senior meet!

Her first season as a senior international elite was in 2005. She went on the European Tour for meets again Great Britain and Switzerland. The USA elite season began at the US Classic. She finished fifth all-around! Kassi kept that position at the US National Championships! She finished fifth again. Following the meet, she went to France for the Trophee Massilia. Kassi won the all-around, vault and floor titles.

In 2006, she went to the French International. She placed third on vault and second on bars! Kassi then took some meets off before the US National Championships. She placed seventh all-around. Kassi won two bronzes, one on vault and the other on bars. In the fall, she began her career at the University of Alabama!

As a freshman, she was a second team All-American on uneven bars. She was also an NACGC Scholastic All-American. She was featured in Sports Illustrated's Faces in the Crowd section in February. Kassi won the all-around at the first three meets of the year. She won uneven bars against UNC, Auburn and Kentucky. She had a total of eleven titles. Kassi earned a 4.0 gpa earning a spot on the President's List. She was on the SEC Academic Honor Roll.

During her sophomore season, Kassi was an All-American on uneven bars. She was also an NACGC Scholastic All-American and on the ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-America Women's At-Large Third Team. She won the NCAA Regional title on bars and beam. She was on the SEC Academic Honor Roll and also on the second-team All-SEC. She won seventeen individual titles including ten on uneven bars. She won the all-around against Florida and Illinois. Kassi earned a perfect 4.0 gpa once again. She was named to the ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 At-Large First Team.

Kassi continued to have success as a junior in 2009. She was on the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-America Women's At-Large First Team. She was one of three juniors on the fifteen member team. Kassi competed on bars, beam and floor as a junior. She competed on bars seven times, beam four times and floor five times.
