Lexie Amber Priessman was born to Kraig and Vickie Priessman on January 23, 1997. Lexie began gymnastics at the age of five. She trains at Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy in Ohio.
In 2005, she competed as a level five. She finished fourth on vault and floor at the Gatlinburg Classic. She made the National TOPs Team in 2006 as a nine-year-old. Lexie competed level seven in 2007. She won the all-around title at the Atlanta Crown. She also won bars and floor gold medals. At the Coaches Cup, she finished first on bars, beam, floor and in the all-around. She finished third on vault. Lexie won a silver medal in the all-around at both the Buckeye Classic and IGI Chicago Style. At the State Championships, she won bars and floor. She placed fifth in the all-around. In the fall she made her second National TOPs Team. She also competed at the Junior Pan Am Interclub Games in El Salvador. She finished third on floor and second in the all-around.
Lexie jumped up to level nine in 2008. She finished second all-around at States. She won vault and bars and finished second on beam. At Regionals, she finished third all-around. She finished second on vault and bars. She finished her level nine season at Easterns. She won vault and finished third on floor! Lexie also placed fifth all-around. Soon after she qualified to hopes pre-elite. At the US Challenge she finished fourth overall.
She moved up to level ten in 2009. She won vault and placed second on balance beam at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. At the IGI Chicago Style, she finished fourth on vault. She earned her pre-elite optional score at the Excalibur Cup. In June, she won the Parkette National Elite Qualifier and qualified to junior international elite. In July, Lexie traveled to Des Moines, Iowa for the US Classic, where she finished impressive second in the all-around, second on vault and fourth on balance beam. This qualified Lexie to the VISA Championships in Dallas, Texas. In Dallas, Lexie finished 18th in the all-around, 4th on vault and 7th on floor exercise in a very tough group of competitors!
Lexie began her 2010 season at the Coaches Spectacular and finished second in the all-around and first on vault and uneven bars. There, she qualified to the Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup. At the Metroplex Challenge, she qualified to the VISA Championships in Hartford, CT after finishing fifth in the all-around. Lexie then placed fourth in the all-around and first on vault at the Buckeye Classic. At the Supergirl Cup, Lexie won the all-around title! She also won gold medals on bars and beam and silver medals on vault and floor. In July, Lexie traveled to Chicago, IL for the US Covergirl Classic and placed sixth in the all-around and second on vault. At the VISA Championships, Lexie finished 12th in the all-around, second on vault and seventh on floor exercise. Lexie was named to the Junior US National Team!
