Marie Priest was born on April 18, 1996. She trained at Atlanta School of Gymnastics. She moved to Georgia Gymnastics Academy following the 2008 season. She will graduate from high school in 2014.

In 2005, Marie competed level eight. She finished fourth all-around at the Gatlinburg Classic. She competed at the State Championships. In 2006, Marie finished third on floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed second on beam, third on floor and third all-around. She moved up to level nine for the 2007 season. She finished 13th all-around at Regionals. She ended her season at Easterns, placing tenth on floor. Marie continued competing level nine in 2008. She placed third all-around at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. She won bars, floor and the all-around at the Champions Cup. Marie placed sixth all-around at Regionals. She ended her season at Easterns.

Marie began competing level ten in 2009. She won beam at the Flip Fest Invitational. She competed on bars and beam only at the State Championships. In 2010, she won vault and the all-around at the Flip Fest Invitational. Marie placed fourth at the Metroplex Challenge and second at the Atlanta Centennial Classic. At the State Championships, Marie won vault. She finished third on beam and sixth all-around at Regionals. She ended her season at JO Nationals. In 2011, Marie finished first on floor at the Sand Dollar Invitational. She won vault and floor at the Tiger Paw Classic. She won the all-around title at the Cloverleaf Invitational. She placed first on bars at the National Gymnastics Challenge. At the State Championships, she finished second on floor. Marie won beam at Regionals. She placed fifth on beam at the JO National Invitational Tournament.

In 2012, Marie finished first on beam at the Ozone Invitational. She placed first on beam and third all-around at the Atlanta Crown invitational. Marie won beam at the Tiger Paw Classic. At the Spirit of the Flame Challenge, she placed second all-around. Marie finished first on beam and second all-around at the Cloverlead Invitational. She won bars, floor and the all-around at the State Championships with a 37.800. At Regionals, she finished fourth all-around. Marie competed at JO Nationals.
