Phoebe Pummarachai was born on October 30, 1996. Her sister Abigail competed level five in 2010. Phoebe trained at Titans Junior Gymnastics at CSUF until the spring of 2006. She then moved to Gym-Max.
In 2005, Phoebe competed level five. She finished second on floor at the Surf City Classic. She won bars, floor and the all-around at the Dreams of Gold meet. In the fall, Phoebe moved up to level six. She swept the gold medals at the 2nd Prelim. She finished second all-around at the 3rd Prelim. Phoebe placed third all-around at East Sectionals. She ended her season with a top fifteen finish at the State Championships. In the spring of 2006, Phoebe placed third all-around at the Go For It Classic. She also had strong finished at the AOGC Invitational and Long Beach Open.
She continued competing level six in the fall. Phoebe won beam at the Olympic Dream Classic. She won bars at the West Sectional. At the State Championships, she won bars and placed third all-around. In January, Phoebe won bars at the LA Classic and Surf City Classic. In the fall, Phoebe won bars, beam and the all-around at the Judges Cup. She also won the all-around at the 3rd Prelim. At the West Sectional, she won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. Phoebe ended her season at the State Championships, winning bars, beam, floor and the all-around.
Phoebe immediately moved up to level seven, earning a spot on the Southern California Judges Cup Team. At the National Judges Cup, Phoebe won bars, beam, floor and the all-around with Gym-Max. She swept the gold medals in the state team competition. At the LA Classic, Phoebe won bars, beam and the all-around. She then moved up to level eight. She won vault, beam and the all-around at the AOGC Invitational. At the Top Flight Invite, Phoebe won vault, beam and the all-around.
In 2009, Phoebe competed level eight. She won bars and the all-around at the Team OC Invitational. At the Long Beach Open, she won beam and the all-around. Phoebe won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Malibu Coast Challenge. At the State Championships, she swept the gold medals. At Regionals, Phoebe won bars, floor and the all-around. In 2010, Phoebe competed one level nine meet, winning bars, beam and the all-around at the Team OC Invitational. She then moved up to level ten, winning the San Diego Classic. She finished second all-around at the Long Beach Open. At the State Championships, Phoebe placed fourth. She also finished fourth at Regionals. She ended her level ten season at JO Nationals, placing third on beam and sixth on bars. She finished 17th all-around. After the level ten season, Phoebe qualified to junior international elite.
