Molly Quirk was born on July 7, 1991. She trains at World Class Gymnastics in New York. She will graduate in 2009.
In 2003, Molly competed as a level eight. Molly won the all-around title at the I Love NY Cup. She won vault at Regionals. She moved up to level nine in 2004. She qualified to Easterns. Molly advanced to level ten in 2005. She finished third all-around at the I Love NY Cup. She won beam at Regionals. Unfortunately, a bad bar routine kept her down in the all-around standings.
In 2006, she finished second all-around at the Hard Rock Invitational. She won vault, beam and floor at States. Molly qualified to her first JO National Championships by placing in the top seven at Regionals. In 2007, Molly finished fourth all-around at the WOGA Classic. She won the all-around title at States. She also won Regionals! In addition to the all-around title, she won vault and bars. Her final meet of the season was JO Nationals. She placed tenth on beam and ninth on floor. In 2008, Molly finished second all-around and on floor at Regionals. She placed third on bars and beam. At JO Nationals, she finished seventh on beam. Later that summer she won the all-around and uneven bars at the Empire State Games.
Molly had a great 2009 season. She began the season in December of 2008 at the Greater New York Invitational. She won bars and the all-around title. Her next meet was the Leatherstocking Invitational. She again won the all-around, totaling her season high score of 37.075. She also won vault and finished second on the remaining three events. At the Parkette Invitational, Molly finished third on beam and floor in a very competitive field. At the New York State Championships, she won vault! At Regionals, she finished fourth all-around. She won vault and floor. At JO Nationals, Molly placed on floor. She will continue her career at Arizona beginning in the 2010 season.
