Summer Raymond was born on August 3, 1994. She has trained at Olympus Gymnastics since 2001. She will graduate from high school in 2012.

In 2004, Summer competed level seven. She finished fifth all-around at the Spirit of the Flame Challenge. At the State Championships, she won the all-around title. Summer moved up to level eight in 2005. She finished first on bars at the California Classic. At the State Championships, she finished third all-around and first on beam. She placed second on bars at Regionals. She made the National TOPs "B" Team in the fall. Summer moved up to level nine in 2006. She won beam at the Long Beach Open. She finished third on bars at the Spirit of the Flame Challenge. At the State Championships, she won bars and the all-around. Summer finished in the top fifteen at Regionals.

Summer continued competing level nine in 2007. She finished second on bars at the Lady Luck Invitational and Crystal Cup. She won bars at the Hard Rock Invitational. At the State Championships, she won bars and placed second all-around. Summer finished in the top ten at Regionals. She competed at Westerns. In 2008, Summer finished third all-around at the IGHOF Invitational. She finished first on vault, bars, beam and the all-around. At Regionals, she finished second on bars. Summer finished fourth on bars, fifth on beam and seventh all-around at Westerns. In 2009, Summer finished first on bars at the Crystal Cup. She only competed on two events at the State Championships due to injury.

She began competing level ten in 2010. She finished in the top ten at the Red Heart 10.0 Invitational. Summer won bars at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational and Vegas Cup. At the State Championships, she won bars and placed second all-around. Summer competed at Regionals. In 2011, she finished third all-around at the Gliders Invitational. She won bars and beam at the Seatle Open. At the Byers Invitational, she placed first on bars. She finished twelfth all-around at Regionals. Summer placed fourth on bars and seventh all-around at the JO National Invitational Tournament.
