Mari Reeve was born on August 14, 1995. She competed for Fallbrook Gymnastics Center in 2003. She trained at Palomar YMCA, which is also known as California Gold Gymnastics or Cal Gold from 2004 to 2006. She then moved to SCEGA.

Mari competed level five in the fall 2003 and spring 2004 seasons. She competed at the State Championships in 2003. She won vault at the Winter Sun Invitational in 2004. She finished third all-around. She competed level six in the fall. Mari competed level seven in the spring of 2005. She finished second on vault at the San Diego Classic. She placed fourth on vault and fifth on floor at the California Classic. At the Friendship Challenge, she placed second on vault.

She competed her first year as a level eight in 2006. At the San Diego Classic, she placed third on vault. She also placed third on vault and fourth all-around at the California Classic. At States, she qualified for Regionals. Mari had her best meet of the season at Regionals. With her new gym, Mari had great results in 2007. She finished second on bars at the Lady Luck Invitational and IGHOF Invitational. At the San Diego Classic, she won vault. She won bars and the all-around at the California Classic. At States, she finished third on bars. Mari won vault and floor at Regionals. She placed third all-around.

In 2008, Mari competed level nine. She won vault and beam at the Surf City Classic. At the California Classic, she finished third all-around. She won vault, bars and the all-around at the Heart of a Champion Invitational. At States, Mari qualified for Regionals. She finished third on bars and sixth all-around at Regionals. She ended her season at Westerns. She won uneven bars!

Mari began competing level ten in 2009. She opened her season at the Lady Luck Invitational. She finished third on vault at the San Diego Classic. She did not compete in the all-around for the rest of the season. At the Malibu Coast Challenge, she finished second on vault, beam and floor. Mari did not compete at States.
