In 2004, Josie competed as a level five. She finished third all-around at the Buckeye Classic. She jumped up to level seven in 2005. She finished second all-around at the Buckeye Classic. She won vault. Josie competed as a level eight in 2006. She finished third on vault at the Buckeye Classic. At the Queen City Classic, she finished second all-around. Josie competed at States and Regionals. She finished in the top ten at both meets.
After the level eight season, Josie competed at the US Challenge as a hopes pre-elite. Later that fall, Josie qualified for the National TOPs Testing. She moved up to level nine in 2007. Josie finished fourth on floor at States. She competed at Regionals. She competed at the US Challenge again as a hopes pre-elite. In 2008, Josie continued competing level eight. She finished sixth all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. At the Fiesta Bowl Invitational, she won vault, bars and the all-around. She won beam and the all-around at the Buckeye Classic.
She moved up to level ten in 2009. She won a bronze medal on vault, floor and the all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. At the Buckeye Classic, she finished fourth on vault. Josie won vault and finished second all-around at the Palm Beach Invitational. At the Arena Classic, she scored her first 37 all-around as a level ten. At Regionals, she finished fifth all-around. She ended her season at JO Nationals. In 2010, Josie finished in the top ten at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. She placed third on vault at the 2011 Universal Galaxy Invite. She finished fourth on floor at the Circle of Stars meet and fourth on vault at the Athlete Warrior Challenge.
