Macey Roberts was born on May 24, 1997. She began gymnastics at Razaroos, a mobile gym, at the age of four. She moved to Gwinnett Gymnastics Center until her family opened Gymnastics Center of Chattanooga in 2004. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2005, Macey competed level six. She finished second all-around at the State Championships. Macey finished first on vault and bars as a level seven at the 2007 State Championships. She placed second all-around. She competed level eight in 2008. She won the all-around title at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. She finished first on floor and second all-around at the State Championships. She placed second on bars and floor at Regionals. Macey moved up to level nine in 2009. She finished first all-around at the Circle of Stars meet. She placed second on floor at both the Charleston Cup and Tampa Bay Turners Invitational. She won bars and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished fourth all-around. She placed sixth on floor at Easterns.

Macey began competing level ten in 2010. She finished fourth all-around at the Flip Fest Invitational. At the Daytona Beach Open, she placed second on vault. Macey won vault at the Atlanta Centennial Classic and Smokey Mountain Vacation Classic. At the Derby Classic, she placed first on floor. Macey finished first on vault and bars at the State Championships. She placed second all-around. She competed at Regionals. In 2011, Macey finished first on vault and bars at the Atlanta Centennial Classic. She finished first on vault, bars, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals.
