Kynsee Roby was born on November 25, 1998. She trained at her mother's gym, KY's Gymnastics and Dance. After the gym closed in 2005, she moved to McCracken's Gymnastics. She began training at KGDC after her coach moved to Kentucky. Kynsee will graduate from high school in 2017.

In 2008, Kynsee competed level six. Kynsee placed fourth in the all-around at the Guanteed Food and Jewels Invitational. She won the all-around title at the March Madness. At the Level 6 State Championships, Kynsee finished second in the all-around as well as second on uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise. In 2009, Kynsee moved up to level 7. She finished second in the all-around and first on balance beam and floor exercise at the St. Nick meet. She placed fifth overall at the Judges Cup and eighth overall at the Dynamo Classic. At the Land of Oz meet, she placed second on vault, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around. Kynsee then placed sixth in the all-around at both Pink Ribbon Invitational and March Madness meet. At the Level 7 State Championships, she won a gold medal on vault and bronze medal on floor exercise and in the all-around.

Kynsee began her 2010 season at the New Year's Invitational as a level 8 gymnast where she won the all-around title. She won another all-around title at the Metroplex Challenge in Dallas, Texas. Kynsee placed third in the all-around at the Dynamo Classic and second in the all-around at the Pink Ribbon Invitational. She swept gold medals at the March Madness meet. At the Level 8 Kansas State Championships, she won the all-around title as well as first on vault, uneven bars and floor exercise. There, she qualified to the Level 8 Regionals finishing 12th in the all-around and ninth on balance beam in a very tough group of competitors!

In 2011, Kynsee started her level 9 season at the New Year's Invitational where she won the all-around title. At the Metroplex Challenge, she finished eighth in the all-around. She then traveled to Florida for the Edgewater Classic. There, she placed first on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around. At the Pink Ribbon Invitational, Kynsee won gold medals on uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around. She qualified to beam and floor event finals on the next day where she won a gold medal on floor! Kynsee earned a bronze medal in the all-around at the Level 9 Kansas State Championships. At the Level 9 Regionals, she placed sixth in the all-around and first on balance beam. There, she qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals in San Diego, California where she tied for the second place on balance beam.
