Haiya Rodriguez was born on December 1, 1988. She competed as a level nine in 1998 with American Twisters. She qualified to Regionals. She was on the TOPS National Team in 1998 and 1999. Haiya then moved to Cincinnati Gymnastics from 2000-2001. In 2001, she qualified to junior international elite. Haiya finished in the top twenty four at the US Classic. This qualified her for the US National Championships. She did well in Philadelphia!

In 2002, Haiya began training at Mesquite Gymnastics in the Dallas area in Texas. She competed at the US Classic. Haiya missed qualifying to Nationals by one spot. She then switched gymnastics centers to World Olympic Gymnastics Academy. She retired in late 2002.
