Casey Lynn Rohrbaugh was born in Spring Grove, Pennsylvania on June 10, 1988. She is the daughter of Jeff and Linda Rohrbaugh. She has one sister, Taylor, who is also a gymnast. She trained at Artistic Sports Academy Plus under Barry Mattern in 2005. Before that gym, she trained at Prestige.

In 1999, she competed as a level nine. She finished fourth on floor at States. She moved up to level ten in 2000. Casey competed at Regionals. In 2001, she finished second all-around at States. She then finished fifth all-around at Regionals. Casey finished her season at the JO National Championships. In 2002, she won the State title. She then finished third all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, Casey placed second on vault and third on beam. Casey won States again in 2004. She finished third all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she finished fifth all-around and fourth on beam.

Casey continued competing as a level ten in 2005. She finished third all-around at States. She also was third on vault. At Regionals, she placed second all-around. Casey then competed at JO Nationals. In 2006, she won States. She did not qualify for JO Nationals.

As a freshman she competed in every meet on beam and floor. She competed on vault twelve times. She finished third on vault at LSU. She placed third on beam at the Big-10 Championships. On floor, she finished third against Maryland. As a sophomore, Casey competed in all thirteen meets on beam and floor. She also competed on vault and bars. She competed in the all-around six times. She won beam against West Virginia. Casey won the all-around against Pittsburgh. As a junior, she competed on vault at every meet finishing second at the first meet of the season. She competed on bars and the all-around four times. She competed on beam at every meet finishing second four times. She also competed on floor at every meet.
