Kiernan Roseland was born on May 31, 1995. She began gymnastics with the Cumming Parks & Rec program but quickly moved to Ultimate Gymnastics. She moved to Imagine Gymnastics in the summer of 2011. Kiernan will graduate from high school in 2013.
Kiernan competed as a level 9 in 2009. She placed third on floor exercise with a 9.450 at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. At the Sand Dollar Invitational, she placed first on uneven bars and fourth on floor exercise. She earned a bronze medal on vault and a silver medal on balance beam at the Tiger Paw Classic. At the SCEGA's California Classic, she finished fifth on vault and floor exercise. She finished fourth on vault and second on floor exercise at the National Gymnastics Challenge. At the Level 9 State Championships, Kiernan placed third in the all-around, first on uneven bars and third on floor exercise. She concluded her season at the Level 9 Regionals where she won a bronze medal on floor exercise with a 9.400.
As a first-year level 10 gymnast during the 2009-2010 season, she started her season at the Jack Frost Invitational finishing third on floor exercise. At the Smokey Mountain Vacation Classic, she placed second on uneven bars, third on balance beam and fifth in the all-around. She placed fourth on floor exercise and in the all-around at the Spring Break-Out. At the Level 10 State Championships, she only competed on vault and uneven bars .
In 2011, Kiernan earned silver medals on vault and balance beam at the Jack Frost Invitational. At the New Year's Invitational, she finished fourth in the all-around and fifth on uneven bars. Kiernan placed sixth in the all-around at both Flip Fest Invitational and Atlanta Crown Invitational. At the Rock 'n Roll Classic, she finished third on uneven bars and in the all-around as well as first on balance beam. Kiernan placed sixth in the all-around at the Atlanta Centennial Classic and seventh in the all-around at the Excalibur Cup. At the Level 10 State Championships, she finished sixth in the all-around, second on uneven bars and fourth on floor exercise. She concluded her 2011 season at the Level 10 Regionals.
