Audrey Ryals was born on May 10, 1995. Her sister, Meredith, is also a gymnast. They both train at Gymnastics East in Washington.

In 2002, Audrey competed level four. She finished fifth on beam at the Octoberfest. She continued competing level four in 2003. She won bars and floor at the Desert Devils Classic. She also finished second on beam and in the all-around. At the Mystery Classic, she finished third on beam, second on bars and in the all-around and first on floor. She won bars, beam, and the all-around at the Seattle Sectionals. Audrey competed level six in 2004. She won a silver medal on beam t the Desert Devils Classic. Audrey repeated this result at the Level 6 Sectional Championships.

Audrey began competing level seven in 2005. She won beam at the Cancun Classic. She finished second all-around. Audrey won beam at the Pajama Classic. At the Level 7 State Championships, she finished third on bars. She moved up to level eight for the 2005-2006 season. She finished third on vault and in the all-around at the Gymnastics in Paradise meet. She won uneven bars and finished second all-around at the Blooms and Blossoms Invitational. At the Level 8 State Championships, she finished eleventh all-around. She improved her all-around score by over two points to place seventh all-around at Regionals. She won a silver medal on bars.

She moved up to level nine in 2007. Audrey finished fourth on bars at the Great West Gym Fest. She finished fourth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won a bronze medal on bars and a silver medal on beam. She finished fourth all-around. She ended her season with a top thirty performance at Westerns. She continued competing level nine in 2008. She won silver medals on bars and beam at the Seattle Open. At the Vegas Cup, she won bars. She finished second on beam and in the all-around. She won bars and placed third all-around at the Great West Gymfest. At the Level 9 State Championships, she finished second on bars. Audrey placed fourth all-around at Regionals. She finished second on vault and first on beam. She had a great performance at Westerns, finishing sixth all-around out of 49 competitors. She placed fourth on uneven bars.

Audrey continued competing level nine in 2009. She won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Gymnastics in Paradise Meet. She won bars and the all-around at the Great West Gym Fest. She finished third on vault and floor. At States, she won bars. She won bars, beam and the all-around at Regionals. She ended her season with a great performance at Westerns. She finished third all-around. She placed sixth on vault, fourth on bars and fifth on beam. She began competing level ten in 2010. Audrey finished third on bars at the Battle in Seattle. She placed tenth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished third on beam, floor and the all-around. Audrey did not compete on floor at JO Nationals.
