Holly Ryan was born on January 25, 1995. She trains at Water's Edge Gymnastics in Michigan. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

In 2006, Holly competed level eight. She finished in the top thirty at Regionals. Holly repeated this feat in 2007. She moved up to level nine in 2008. She finished third on beam at the Twistars Invitational. In 2009, Holly placed third on vault at the Motown Madness meet. She placed third on beam and sixth all-around at Regionals. Holly competed at Easterns. She moved up to level ten in 2010. She finished fifth all-around at the Twistars Invitational. She placed second all-around at the Cereal City Classic.

In 2011, Holly finished fourth all-around at the Cereal City Classic. She returned to level nine in March. She won vault at the Gold Rush meet. At the State Championships, she placed second on vault. Holly won vault and beam at Regionals. She placed second all-around. At Easterns, she placed second on vault and floor.
