Raquel Sanchez was born on December 5, 1995. She trains at The Athletic Edge in Oregon. She will graduate from high school in 2014.

In 2006, Raquel competed level six. She moved up to level seven in 2007. She finished fifth all-around at the State Championships. Raquel competed level eight in 2008. She placed third on vault at the Emerald Team Challenge. She placed in the top ten at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals. Raquel began competing level nine in 2009. She finished first on vault and bars at the Rose City Challenge. She finished sixth all-around at the State Championships. She placed second on bars and fourth all-around at Regionals. Raquel competed at Westerns.

Raquel continued competing level nine in 2010. She placed fourth on beam at the Battle in Seattle. She finished third on beam at the Rose City Challenge. Raquel was the alternate for Westerns. She began competing level ten in 2011. She finished fourth all-around at the Battle in Seattle. She placed fifth all-around at the State Championships. Raquel competed at Regionals.
