Anna Santos was born to Marty and Dan Santos on October 25, 1988. She has two brothers, Daniel and Jack Santos. Ana graduated from William Mason High School in May of 2007. She attended Queen City Gymnastics during her club career.

In 2002, Anna competed as a level seven. She won bars at States. She moved up to level eight in 2003. She finished third all-around at States. She won bars. In 2004, she continued competing as a level eight. Anna won bars at States. In 2005, she was competing as a level nine. She won bars at States. In 2006, she competed as a level ten. She finished third all-around at States. Anna ended her JO career at Regionals.
