Sasha Sander was born on May 8, 1995. She trained at Gym Quest through the 2005 season. She then spent one year with River City Gymnastics before moving to Lynchburg. Sasha has trained at Champion Gymnastics in Kentucky since the 2010 season. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

In 2004, Sasha competed level four. She placed second on beam at the State Championships. She won beam at the 2005 State Championships as a level five. In 2006, Sasha finished second on floor as a level six at the State Championships. She competed level seven in 2007. She placed fourth all-around at the State Championships. Sasha competed level eight in 2008. She finished third all-around at the Lake Murray Invitational. She finished in the top fifteen at the State Championships.

Sasha began competing level nine in 2009. She finished fourth on vault at the Gatlinburg Classic. In 2010, Sasha won the all-around title at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She won bars and the all-around at the Buckeye Classic. Sasha won vault, bars and the all-around at the Meet Me in St. Louis meet. She placed in the top twenty at Regionals. In 2011, Sasha began competing level ten. She finished first on vault at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. She placed first all-around at the BIG Dream Classic and Derby Classic. At the State Championships, she won vault and beam. Sasha finished second on beam and fifth all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she finished 23rd all-around.
