Aslynn Amanda Satterfield was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania on February 23, 1986. She is the daughter of Cynthia and Ned Satterfield. She has one younger brother, Brinton. During her club career, she trained at Dynamats.
In 1999, she competed as a level ten. She finished second on vault at States. In 2001, Allie placed fifth all-around at States. She finished in the top seven, qualifying for the JO National Championships. At JO Nationals, she finished in the top ten on vault. In 2002, Aslynn placed third all-around at States. She competed at Regionals. She finished eighth all-around at States in 2003. In 2004, Aslynn placed sixth all-around at States. As a freshman at Penn State, she competed in exhibition vault several times.
As a sophomore at Penn State, Aslynn was an Academic All-Big 10 honoree. She was also a NACGC/W Scholar Athlete. She earned second team all-big 10 honors. She competed in every meet of the season on vault and floor. During her junior season, she missed the first five meets because of an injury. She came back to compete on vault and floor nine times. She was an NACGC/W Scholar Athlete and Academic All-Big Ten honoree. As a senior, she competed on vault and floor. She won vault once in March and floor twice in February.
