Chelsea Savit was born on April 9, 1991. She trained at Gold Medal Gymnastics Center in New York until the 2003 season. She then began training at Exper-Tiess Gymnastics.
In 2002, she competed as a level eight. She won the floor title at the Long Island Classic. In 2003, Chelsea moved up to level nine. She only competed on floor at Regionals. She did level nine again in 2004. Chelsea placed fourth on beam at Excalibur Cup. She then won vault at the Circle of Stars Invitational. Chelsea also finished third all-around. She ended her season at Regionals.
Chelsea moved up to level ten in 2005. She finished fourth on floor at Regionals. Chelsea placed eighth on beam at Regionals in 2006. She finished third on floor at Regionals in 2007. In the fall of 2007, she was second at the Suffolk state qualifier. She was first on bars. She finished sixth at States. She was named an All-Long Island Gymnast. In 2008, she competed at the Aquafina Team Challenge. At Regionals, she placed seventh all-around and second on beam. She qualified for JO Nationals. She competed as a high school gymnast in the fall of 2008. She won the state vault and bars titles. She finished fifteenth all-around at the Level 10 State Championships in 2009. She did not compete all-around at Regionals.
