Haley Scaman was born on September 4, 1993. She began gymnastics at the age of eight at IGI. Haley will graduate from high school in 2012. In June of 2010, she achieved her gymnastics goal after committing to OU.
She began competing in 2003 as a level five. She qualified for the State Championships. She competed level six in 2005. Haley finished fifth all-around at States. In 2007, Haley competed level eight. She qualified for Regionals where she placed fifth out of 50.
She competed level nine in 2008. She finished fifth all-around at the Bravo Classic. She won vault and the all-around at the IGI Chicago Style. Haley won vault, floor and the all-around at the Gasparilla Classic. She ended her season with an eighth place finish at Easterns. She finished fourth on vault, seventh on bars and fifth on floor.
Her first season as a level ten was in 2009. She finished second on beam at the Battle of the Champions meet. Haley won vault at the IGI Chicago Style. She finished fourth all-around at the WOGA Classic. Haley placed second on vault at the Arena Classic. She won vault and finished fifth all-around at States. At Regionals, she finished second all-around, making her first JO National Championships. Haley ended her season by winning a bronze medal on vault. She finished 30th all-around.
Haley started her 2009-2010 season by winning vault and bars at the Sports Fest in December. In January, she won vault at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational. Haley finished third all-around at the King Arthur Invitational. At the IGI Chicago Style, she won floor and the all-around. she had a strong fifth place finish at the Pikes Peak Cup. Haley won vault at the Arena Classic. At the Level 10 State Championships, she won vault and the all-around with a season high of 38.150. At Regionals, she finished fifth all-around. Haley ended her season at JO Nationals, winning vault. She finished fourth on bars, third on floor and seventh all-around despite a fall on balance beam.
