Lauren Schmeiss was born on October 2, 1996. She trained at NASA Gymnastics until midway through the 2009 season. She then moved to Auburn. SHe began training at Cascade Elite West in March of 2012. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2005, Lauren competed level five. She won bars and the all-around at the State Championships. She won floor at the 2006 Emerald Team Challenge. In the fall, Lauren competed level six. She won bars, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. Lauren immediately moved up to level seven in January of 2007. She ended her season at the State Championships. Lauren competed level eight in 2008. She finished first on floor and third all-around at the Battle in Seattle. She placed third on bars at the State Championships. She finished fifteenth all-around at Regionals.

Lauren competed level nine in 2009. She placed third at the Great West Gym Fest and Rainier Cup. At the Byers Invitational, her first with her new gym, she placed second on beam. Lauren placed second on floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won floor and placed sixth all-around. She ended her season at Westerns, placing in the top ten. She finished sixth on bars. In 2010, Lauren won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the National Judges Cup. She finished third on bars and floor at the Long Beach Open. She won both floor and bars at the Emerald Team Challenge. At the State Championships, she won floor and the all-around. Her all-around was the highest of all the level nine competitors. At Regionals, Lauren won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. She ended her season at Westerns, winning floor. She also placed fifth on bars and sixth on vault.

In 2011, Lauren finished first on beam at the Battle in Seattle as a level ten. She competed level nine the rest of the season. She finished second all-around at the Crystal Cup. She won bars, beam, and floor at the MAC Open. At the Byers Invitational, she placed first on floor and third all-around. She placed third all-around at the March Madness meet. Lauren finished second on vault and floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won floor and the all-around. Lauren placed second all-around at Westerns! She placed third on bars, second on beam and second on floor. She also placed ninth on vault.

Lauren began competing level ten in 2012. She finished first on beam at the Long Beach Open. She won vault, beam and floor at the Charity Choice Invitational. At the Classic Rock Invitational, she placed first on beam and second all-around. She finished in the top ten at the State Championships. She ifnished second al-around at Regionals.
