Amber See was born on May 31, 1991. She trained at Classic Gymnastics through the 2004 season. She then moved to TAGS Apple Valley. She graduated from high school in 2010.

In 2003, Amber competed level eight. She won floor and the all-around at the Regional Championships. She moved up to level nine in 2004. She finished first on floor and the all-around at the Northern Lights Invitational. She finished second all-around at Regionals. At Westerns, she placed fourth on vault and tenth on floor. She finished 16th all-around. Amber began competing level ten in 2005. She won beam at the Vegas Vacation. She won beam and the all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she finished 16th all-around and sixth on beam. In 2006, Amber won vault at the State Championships. She placed third all-around. At Regionals, she won vault, beam, floor and the all-around. She competed at JO Nationals.

Amber continued competing level ten in 2007. She won vault at the State Championships. She finished third on vault and the all-around at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals. In 2008, Amber won bars, floor and the all-around at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She placed first on floor and fourth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished third on bars and floor. She finished 15th all-around at JO Nationals. In 2009, Amber won vault and floor at the Winter Sun Invitational. She won vault, bars, floor and the all-around at the GymQuarters Invitational. Amber finished first on vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Harley Davidson Invitational. She placed first on vault, beam, floor and the all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, Amber finished second on vault and bars, seventh on floor and ninth all-around. She was named Minnesota JO Athlete of the Year.

She ended her club career in 2010. She won vault, floor and the all-around at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the San Diego Classic. Amber won vault, floor and the all-around at the GymQuarters Invitational. She swept the gold medals at the Northern Lights Invitational. In event finals, she scored a perfect ten on vault! At the State Championships, she won floor. She finished second all-around. Amber placed first on vault and second all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she won vault and floor! She finished fourth all-around, making the JO National Team.
