Stephanie Seich was born on June 13, 1989 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to Danny and Diane Siech. She graduated from A Beka Academy in 2007. She began gymnastics at the age of six. She trains at Rebound Gymnastics in New Jersey. She was a TOPS National Team Member in 1998, 1999 and 2000. At the 2000 Capital Cup, she competed as a level nine. In 2000, Stephanie also competed at the US Challenge as a TOPS elite.
In 2001, she placed second all-around at the American Challenge. Stephanie competed at the National Gymnastics Festival as a child national elite, the same division she competed in at the American Challenge. Stephanie won the overall title. Besides competing as an elite, she also competed as a level ten. She made Regionals. In 2002, she moved up to junior national elite. She competed at the American Challenge. After the American Challenge, Stephanie competed at the US Challenge in the summer. She made junior international elite in 2003.
Stephanie earned some experience in 2004. She competed as a level ten at states. She finished third all-around. Stephanie then made junior international elite again. She placed 13th all-around at the US Classic. This qualified her for the US National Championships! Stephanie made senior international elite in 2005. She did not compete because of an injury. Stephanie signed with the University of Nebraska in the fall of 2007.
Unfortunately, Stephanie underwent forearm surgery before her freshman season. She was on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll both semesters. In 2009, she saw action as an exhibition performer on floor.
