Danielle Shaw was born on January 4, 1997. She trained at Ozark Mountain Gymnastics through the 2006 season. She then moved to Dynamics Gymnastics in Missouri. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2006, Danielle competed level four. She placed second all-around at the Barron Invitational. Danielle moved up to level five in 2007. She finished second all-around at the State Championships. She competed level six in 2008. She placed in the top three in the all-around at every meet. She won the all-around title at the State Championships.

Danielle competed level seven in 2009. She won vault, floor and the all-around at the Spring Tune Up Invitational. She finished first on beam and the all-around at the Gateway Challenge. She finished first all-around at the State Championships, scoring the highest all-around out of every age division. Danielle moved up to level eight in 2010. She finished first all-around at the Meet Me in St. Louis meet. She finished third all-around at the Flip Fest Invitational. At the Eagles Winter Invitational, she won beam, floor and the all-around. Danielle finished second all-around at the Gateway Challenge. At the Flipz Invitational, she won bars, floor and the all-around. Danielle finished second all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed fifth all-around and first on floor. She helped the Missouri Super 8 Team finish second.

Danielle moved up to level nine in 2011. She finished fourth all-around at the Meet Me in St. Louis meet and Eagles Winter Invitational. At the St. Louis Classic, she won vault, beam and floor. Danielle finished first on beam and floor at the Flipz USA Invitational. At the State Championships, she won vault, beam, floor and the all-around. Danielle won beam, floor and the all-around at Regionals. At Westerns, she placed eigth on vault, seventh on beam, fifth on floor and ninth all-around!
