Sara Sherman was born on March 24, 1992. She trained at Nations gymnastics until the 2006 season when she began competing for US Gold. She followed her teammates to Denton during the 2007 season. Currently, Sara trains at Metroplex. She will graduate from Aubrey High School in 2010.
In 2003, she competed as a level six. She finished third all-around at the Big Chill Invitational. She moved up to level seven in 2004. She finished second all-around at the WOGA Classic. Sara won beam and floor. Her first season as a level ten was in 2006. She won the TWU State Qualifier, Kurt Thomas Invitational, Metroplex Challenge and Level 10 State Championships! Following the level ten season, Sara qualified for junior pre-elite. She competed at the US Challenge.
In 2007, Sara continued competing as a level ten. She did not have her best meet at States. Sara came back to win beam and floor at Regionals! She also placed third all-around. At JO Nationals, she finished in the top twenty-five.
