Jamie Shisler was born on August 20, 1993. She trained at Gymnastics World in Florida through the 2010 season. She then moved to Coast Elite Gymnastics Academy. She graduated from high school in 2011.

In 2005, Jamie competed level eight. She finished in the top ten all-around at Regionals. She competed level nine in 2007. She finished first on floor and the all-around at the Lightning City Invitational. At the Flips USA Invitational, she placed third on vault. Jamie began competing level ten in 2009. She finished third all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. She placed second on vault at the Gasparilla Classic. She won vault at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational. At Regionals, she finished in the top twenty. Jamie finished third on vault at the 2010 IGI Chicago Style. She placed first on floor at the Gasparilla Classic. At the Tim Rand Invitational, she finished second on floor. Jamie finished fourth all-around at the State Championships. She placed third on floor at Regionals.

Jamie continued competing level ten in 2011. She won vault, bars and the all-around at the Tampa Bay Classic. At the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational, she finished third on beam. She placed third on floor at the Presidential Classic. Jamie finished third all-around at the Tim Rand Invitational. At the State Championships, she finished in the top ten. Jamie placed second on vault and third on floor at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals.
