Leah Slobodin was born on March 10, 1995. She trains at Capital Gymnastics in Burke, Virginia. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

In 2002, Leah finished first on vault at the Spring Fest as a level four. She moved up to level five in 2003. She finished second on floor and in the all-around at the Excalibur Cup. Leah moved up to level six in 2004. She finished third on vault and fifth all-around at the State Championships. Leah competed level seven in 2005. She won beam at both the Maryland Classic and American Twisters Invitational. She began competing level eight in 2006. She finished in the top twenty at the State Championships. In 2007, Leah finished first on beam and floor at the State Championships. She placed second all-around. She finished fifth on bars at Regionals.

Leah began competing level nine in 2008. She won beam at the State Championships, where she also placed second on floor. Leah placed third on beam at Regionals. In 2009, Leah finished in the top fifteen at the State Championships. She placed second on beam, floor and the all-around at Regionals. At Easterns, she finished ninth all-around and fourth on floor. Leah began competing level ten in 2010. She won beam at the Maryland Classic. She finished second on bars and seventh all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed fourth all-around and second on floor. She ended her season at JO Nationals.
