Sarah Moore was born on December 26, 1996 in Dallas, Texas to Tony and Blanca Moore. She has an older sister, Amber and two brothers, Jacob and John. Amber plays soccer at Oklahoma State University. Both Jacob and John go to Lake Highlands High School. She began training at Metroplex Gymnastics and stayed there until 2008. In 2009, Sarah moved to Elite Champion Gymnastics.
Sarah competed level five in 2005. She won uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise and the all-around at the WOGA Classic. She moved up to level seven for 2006. She won balance beam and the all-around at the WOGA Classic. At the Level 7 State Championships, she finished second in the all-around.
In 2007, Sarah began competing level eight. She won vault, uneven bars, balance beam and the all-around at the WOGA Classic. At the California Classic, she won vault, uneven bars, floor exercise and the all-around. She ended her season at the Level 8 Regional Championships, winning uneven bars, balance beam and the all-around.
She skipped level nine and began competing level ten in 2008. She finished fifth in the all-around at the State Qualifier. At the Metroplex Challenge, she won the junior pre-elite division and qualified to junior pre-elite. Sarah won a silver medal on vault at the Rose City Classic. She continued to have good results at the Level 9 State Championships and Level 9 Regional Championships.
