Sharaya Musser was born on January 26, 1991. She moved from Nashville to Colorado to train at Colorado Aerials. She has a sister Alecia who is a former junior international elite.

In 2003, Sharaya competed as a level nine. She finished second all-around at the WOGA Classic. She competed at Regionals. In 2004, she competed in some elite qualifiers but did not do all four events in an optional portion. In 2005, she qualified to junior pre-elite. She competed at the American Challenge and the US Challenge.

Sharaya dropped down to level ten to get more experience in 2006. She finished third on floor at the Pikes Peak Cup. At States, she finished third all-around. She won a silver medal on vault. She then won the all-around, vault, beam and floor title at Regionals. Sharaya placed fourth all-around at JO Nationals. She was named to the JO National Team. In the summer, she won the all-around at the Rocky State Mountain Games.

She continued competing as a level ten in 2007. She finished third all-around at States. She won bars and beam. At Regionals, she finished second all-around. Sharaya won bars and beam. Her final meet of the season was JO Nationals. She won beam and finished second on bars. Sharaya finished sixth all-around. In August, she won the all-around at the State Games of America. She continued to improve in 2008. She won vault, floor and the all-around at the Harley Davidson Battle in Seattle. She won vault, bars, and the all-around at States. Sharaya won all four individual events and the all-around title at Regionals. At the JO National Championships, she won vault and beam. She finished second all-around, making the JO National Team.

She had a great season in 2009. She won the all-around at the Palm Beach Invitational and Great West Gymfest. At the Palm Beach meet, she won all four individual events as well. She finished second all-around and on vault at States. She won vault with a 9.950. Sharaya won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Regional Championships. At JO Nationals, she finished second all-around. She won beam and floor. She is now looking forward to beginning her college career at Penn State.
