Savannah Soares was born on April 27, 1994. She trained at Ocean State School of Gymnastics through the 2008 season. She then moved to Aim High Academy. She will graduate from high school in 2012.

In 2005, Savannah competed level eight. She continued competing level eight in 2006. She moved up to level nine in 2007. She qualified to Regionals. In 2009, Savanna competed on three events at the State Championships. In December, Savannah finished first on floor at the Rhode Island Classic. She won vault at the 2010 Starlight Invitational. She competed on two events at Regionals. In December, Savannah placed first on vault and second on floor at the Rhode Island Classic. She won vault, beam and the all-around at the Big Apple Holiday Classic. In January 2011, Savannah placed third on bars at the Sand Dollar Invitational. She won the all-around title at the Little Bigger Invitational. At the State Championships, she won vault, bars, beam and the all-around. She won beam and the all-around at Regionals. At Easterns, she placed second on vault and sixth on beam. She finished seventh all-around.

Savannah opened the 2011-2012 season at the Pilgrim Harvest Invitational. She won beam and the all-around. At the Christmas on the Chesapeake meet, she won beam. She placed first on floor and second all-around at the Brestyan's Invitational. At the Sand Dollar Invitational, she won vault, beam and the all-around. Savannah placed second all-around at the Team Challenge. She finished second on vault at the IGI Chicago Style. Savannah won all five gold medals at the Little Bigger Invitational.
