Carah Solemsaas was born on November 1, 1995. She trains at Leading Edge Gymnastics Academy in Washington. She will graduate from high school in 2013.
In 2003, Carah competed level four. She placed third on floor at the Mystery Classic. She continued competing level four in 2004. She finished second all-around at the Flips USA Invitational. She competed level seven in 2006. She placed fourth all-around at the National Judges Cup. She finished third at the Flips USA Invitational. Carah won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the San Diego Classic. She won vault at the Hard Rock Invitational.
Carah moved up to level eight in 2007. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the National Judges Cup. She won vault at the Flips USA Invitational. At the Seattle Open, she won beam. Carah won vault, bars and the all-around at the Hard Rock Invitational. She also won the Emerald Team Challenge. At the State Championships, Carah won vault and the all-around. She won the same two titles at Regionals. She competed level nine in 2008. Carah took first place at the Battle in Seattle meet. She placed second at the Emerald Team Challenge. At the State Championships, she placed third on vault. She finished third all-around at Regionals. At Westerns, she placed fourth all-around. Carah placed in the top ten on vault, bars, and beam.
She began competing level ten in 2009. She won floor at the Crystal Cup. She placed fourth all-around at the Great West Gymfest. Carah finished third on beam at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed third on vault and second on beam. She ended her season at JO Nationals. In 2010, Carah placed third on beam at the Seattle Open and second on floor at the Battle in Seattle. She won bars and beam at the State Championships. She placed third all-around. At Regionals, Carah won a silver medal on vault. She again competed at JO Nationals.
