Savana Sparks was born on June 4, 1998. She trains at Gymnastics Power House in Paris, Texas under Kim Hevron.
In 2005, Savana competed level five. She finished 13th all-around at the District Championships. She moved up to level six in 2006. Savana won vault at the WOGA Classic. At the Rising Stars Invitational, she finished fourth on vault, floor and in the all-around. She placed second on bars. Savana made the National TOPs "B" Team in 2007. She competed level eight in 2008. She finished in the top ten at the Metroplex Challenge and Rose City Classic. She won a silver medal on vault at the latter. She placed in the top twenty at the State Championships. In the fall, she made her second consecutive National TOPs "B" Team.
She moved up to level nine in 2009. She finished fourth all-around at the Kurt Thomas Invitational. She won balance beam. Savana won her second balance beam title of the season at the Texas Prime Meet where she also finished third all-around. Savana continued to place third all-around at the Metroplex Challenge in the hopes division. She won vault and placed second all-around at the Rose City Classic. At the State Championships, she finished in the top fifteen. She had a similar result at the Regional Meet. Savana placed fourth on vault at Regionals. In July, Savana finished tenth overall at the US Challenge.
Savana competed level ten in 2010. She finished fifth on vault at the WOGA Classic. At the Kurt Thomas Invitational, she placed sixth all-around. She finished in the top fifteen at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals.
