Taylor Spears was born on December 26, 1991. She trained at Dana's in Texas until 2005, when she began competing for WOGA.
In 2003, she competed as a level eight. She made it to Regionals. Taylor made it to level nine Regionals in 2005. She moved up to level ten in 2005. She finished fifth all-around at the WOGA Classic. She won golds on vault and beam. At the State Championships, she finished fourth all-around. Taylor also placed fourth at Regionals. Her final meet of the season was the JO National Championships.
Taylor made junior international elite in 2006. She competed at the US Classic. She has decided to compete as a level ten in 2007. She finished third on vault at the All Olympia Invitational. She won the all-around, vault, bars and beam at the Riverwalk Invitational. At the Maryland Classic, she won bars and placed third on vault.
In 2008, she narrowly missed making senior international elite. She placed eighth all-around in the senior elite division of the Houston National Invitational. She finished second all-around at the Dragon Invitational Elite Qualifier. At the Level 10 State Championships, she finished fourth all-around. She won floor. She placed eleventh all-around at Regionals. She had a great 2009 season. She finished fourth on bars at the WOGA Classic. At the State Meet, she finished fourth on bars again. She won a bronze medal on bars at Regionals, qualifying for JO Nationals. She has committed to Oklahoma.
